Designed to handle the rigors of wet and corrosive marine environments, this 2-foot, 2-lamp LED light offers failsafe or emergency-only functionality. The hazardous location LED fixture is equipped with stainless steel latches and protected by corrosion resistant construction.\nThe HALP-EMG-24-2L-LED-SS hazardous area fixture is designed for use in wet areas and saltwater\/marine environments, where corrosion resistance is critical to equipment longevity and safety. This 28-watt hazardous location LED light comes in a 2-foot, 2-lamp configuration and provides 3,500 lumens of illumination with a color temperature rating of 5600K. The T8-style LED tubes emits a flood beam configuration for comprehensive lighting at the work site. \nThis Class I, Division 2 rated fixture is constructed of non-corrosive materials, including a polyester housing reinforced with glass fiber, a poured in gasket for reliable sealing and an impact resistant acrylic diffuser. A total of eight corrosion resistant stainless steel latches secure the lamp cover to the housing and provide a firm lock against the poured in seal to prevent drips and water intrusion. This fixture is UL 844 and UL 924 rated and approved for Class I, Division 2 Groups A, B, C, D environments. The HALP-EMG-24-2L-LED-SS also carries a UL 1598A outdoor marine rating and meets US Coast Guard specifications.\nEmergency Backup: This emergency LED light works, mounts and is wired like our HALP-48-2L-LED-G2 explosion proof LED light fixtures. The main difference is we added a battery backup unit that provides emergency light functionality to the fixture. This hazardous area emergency light will run one bulb at 14 watts for 90 minutes (based on UL standards) after power is lost at 1,750 lumens. The light recharges the battery once electrical power is restored. Standard configuration includes a single emergency battery backup that is automatically recharged and kept in a ready state. \nAlternatively, we can configure this unit to be an emergency only fixture, wherein the light will only operate when power is lost. The battery backup unit includes a switched leg for turning the light fixture on\/off without kicking the unit into emergency mode.\nLED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and\/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life.\nLED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps.\nWe have eliminated the ballast normally associated with fluorescent fixtures which reduces overall weight, increases lamp life to an extreme 50,000 hours and helps this LED fixture maintain a T4 temperature rating. The solid state design of the included LED lamps give this fixture superior resistance to damage from vibrations and extremes in temperature as well as a lamp service life over twice that of standard T8 bulbs. The 14-watt LED lamps produce more illumination than standard T8 bulbs, but draw only 3\/4 of the current. The current generation of our LED T-series style bulbs produce 30% more light than standard T8 bulbs.\nThis fixture is universal voltage capable (not multi-tap) and works on the following voltages: 120 Volt 60 HZ, 220 Volt 50 HZ, 240 Volt 60 HZ, 277 Volt 60 HZ. Our HAL-EMG-48-2L-LED-G2 light fixture is both US and Canada approved. \nWiring Hubs: Operators may access 1\/2\" NPT or 3\/4\" NPT threaded hubs for completing electrical connections during installation.\nStandard Flange Mount Brackets: Flange-type stainless steel mounts attached at each end of the fixture enables the unit to be secured to any surface. The mounts provide shock absorbency protection, while enabling the user to simply mount the fixture with the through-hole taps that protrude at the sides of the fixture. The mounting holes are 36 9\/16 inches on center apart along the top of this hazardous location light. The mounting holes are 7 inches on center across the top of the light.\nA sliding bracket mount is available so operators can retrofit this LED light fixture to use the pre-existing mounting holes from other fluorescent fixtures.
