Wiring is through a convenient ¾ inch NPT conduit entrance. Wiring is accomplished through the wiring enclosure provided on the fixture. The box is provided with a size 3\/4-in. Wiring methods must comply with NFPA 70 (The National Electrical Code).\nHot Box Application: This unit is designed for use with a remote ballast high temp operations commonly referred to as \"hot box\" applications. The remote ballast is not included. The customer must take care of the ballast and mounting the ballast, commonly done in a ballast room, and run customer provided wire from the ballast to the lamp. Using a remote ballast allows the ballast to remain cool while the fixture itself is in a hot box application, extending the longevity of the ballast by not exposing it to heat which is the primary factor that shortens ballast lifespan.
