Light output comes from a 5 watt LED lamp that produces 500 lumens. This solar panel is equipped with remote switching capabilities. 20` of SOOW cable connects the light and the panel, with an in-line switch in the middle. \nThis unit is for night time operation, and will not be visible during the day. The sealed lead acid battery pack is contained within the solar panel, not the light. Charging time for the battery is 5 hours when exposed to direct sunlight. As with all solar powered equipment, charging time is affected by the amount of available ambient light. When ambient light levels drop below a certain level, such as on cloudy days, the unit will not recharge. The light produced by the SPELD-5 will cover an area 35’L x 35’W when mounted 12 feet from the ground.
