This conversion kit includes an explosion proof step-up transformer (24V DC to 220V DC), a weatherproof step-down transformer (220V AC to 24V DC) and 5' of 16/3 SOOW line-in cord with a general-area cord cap. The explosion proof step-up transformer mounts onto the A-frame of the explosion proof LED light.\r
The EPL-PM-100LED-220X24I-xx-SP3415-KT retrofit kit is designed to convert power for explosion proof LED lights that operate on 220V AC to in-line 24V DC, via two transformers. The first explosion proof transformer steps up 24V DC to 220V AC. This step-up transformer mounts directly to the A-frame of the explosion proof LED light. A 50' 12/3 SOOW cord connects the first explosion proof transformer to the second weatherproof transformer. The second transformer is a weatherproof unit that steps down 220V AC to 24V DC. Operators provide power to the second transformer using an included 5' of 16/3 SOOW cord with a 220V cord cap.\r
This voltage conversion kit maintains low voltage power at the LED light side of the system, where the unit requires protection from combustible compounds. The solution ensures compliance with safety requirements associated with low voltage in-line equipment in explosive environments.\r
L6-15 Twist Lock Plug\r
UK BS1363 Straight Blade Plug\r
Intl Schuko 2-Pin Plug\r
Flying Leads / Pigtail Wires\r
Wiring:\r
This retrofit kit is equipped with 50` of 12/3 chemical and abrasion resistant SOOW cord leading up to the encapsulated step down transformer, and 5` of 12/3 SOOW cable on the input side of the transformer that is fitted with an industrial grade 220V cord cap for easy connection to common wall outlets.\r
Plug:\r
Plug options include standard 6-15 15 amp straight blade plug for 220-240V wall outlets with ground, NEMA L6-15 15 amp twist lock plug for 240V twist lock outlets, British BS1363 13 amp fused 3-blade plug for United Kingdom outlets, or a two pin 16 amp rated Schuko plug with ground contact and socket for European outlets up to 250V.
