Equipped with a double-sided configuration, the conduit-mount device box contains a tempered glass lens and two, 3\/4\" NPT hubs. This explosion proof instrument enclosure may be used to comply with domestic and international code requirements, while providing protection for operators and nearby workers.\nThe EPL-AED-2X-GL offers protection from explosive hazards and ignitions, dust, harsh weather and rough treatment (tampering). This unit takes on a double-sided, threaded configuration and included an `X` style interior for secure mounting of instruments. The interior separation wall of the explosion proof enclosure caters to a maximum of two 5\/16\" to 1.5\" slots. The internal instrument side (front) of the device box measures 3.41\" x 4.81\", while the internal power side (back) of the device box measures 3.41\" x 4.81\". \nThis ATEX\/IECEx rated enclosure is constructed of copper-free aluminum finished with powder epoxy paint. Protected by a 3\/8\" thick tempered glass lens and two neoprene rubber O-ring gaskets, the ground screws are made out of zinc plated steel with green dye, while the Allen head cover screw is constructed of cadmium plated steel. The explosion proof device box is rated NEMA Type 3, 4 and 4X, which is designed to withstand the rigors of demanding environmental and operating conditions, including ingress of moisture, water spray, liquid, oil and dust, while preventing damage from corrosion and external ice formation. \nMounting: The EPL-AED-2X-GL can be mounted on conduits.
