This light tower folds over for easy transportation, features a rotating boom that allows for 360° of rotation, and is equipped with a removable mast head for storing mounted equipment when not in use. This light boom can be extended to 25 feet for maximum area coverage and collapsed to 12 feet for applications where a smaller footprint is required. The light mast has a 90 mph wind rating when guyed and 35 mph wind rating when unguyed. \nThe tower is constructed of square steel tubing for the 18\" OD top mounting plate, base stage, and center stage. The top stage is made out of fiberglass, which isolates sensitive equipment secured at the top of the mast from grounding to earth (or isolates the base from electricity from equipment at the top of the mast). The lower section of the mast measures 12 feet in length and 4 inches in diameter. The middle section measures 10 feet in length and 3.5 inches in diameter, while the upper section measures 7 feet in length and 3 inches in diameter. Each section has 2 foot of overlap. The base plate features a 1\/2\" thick weld An 18\" OD round top mounting plate is attached to the upper section of the mast which provides a strong and stable platform for mounted light fixtures or equipment. The mounting plate features a series of (8) predrilled 13\/32\" holes spaced evenly in a circle 9\" in from the edge of the plate and a 13\/32\" hole drilled in the dead center of the plate for a total of nine.\nThe LM family of telescoping towers feature a proprietary mast guidance system, which provide increased stability during high winds. When elevated to its full upright position, the mast can be rotated a full 360°. By loosening the T-Handle, operators can rotate the mast with easy in either direction. The mast can be positioned in one of four different directions, and locked back in place by re-tightening the T-handle. The mast itself spins freely with easy, and can typically be rotated with a single hand.\nThis light tower weighs approximately 315 lb, can easily support and lift 45 lbs fixtures. The entire tower assembly is shipped via common freight carrier and when shipped measures approximately 16.5 feet long, 4 feet wide, 5 feet tall and weighs approximately 900 lbs.
