This tower is designed for horizontal operation, and includes a rotating base allowing 360 degree rotation.\n*PLEASE NOTE: ANY FREE SHIPPING OFFERS DO NOT APPLY TO LIGHT MASTS OR LIGHT TOWERS*\nLarson Electronics’ LM-30-3S-HZ-4X1000W horizontal steel light tower allows operators to quickly and safely deploy 4,000 watts of metal halide lighting in locations where elevated illumination is needed for maximum area coverage. This three section light boom can be extended to 30 feet for maximum area coverage, and collapsed to 12 feet to fold over and store above Magnum gen set on existing trailer for storage. The tower is constructed of square steel tubing with three sections of 12 feet, 11 feet and 10 feet. The mast is elevated from the fold down position using an included 1,000 lb hand winch with 3\/16 inch aircraft cable, extended to its full height using a second 1,000 lbs winch, and retracted using a third 1,000 lb winch. A rotating mounting platform allows operators to rotate the entire tower 360 degrees on its base, providing an easy means of directing the lights regardless of tower location. \nIncluded with this light tower are four of our wet area suitable  metal halide fixtures producing a combined total of approximately 400,000 lumens at 4,000 watts. These lamps have 19” reflectors and are constructed of aluminum with a clear tempered glass lens which is secured into place with a heavy duty gasket and single ring lock. These floodlights produce a wide flood light pattern capable of illuminating approximately 5 acres. Each floodlight is securely fastened to the light boom and each lamp includes a support bracket to help maintain lamp stability within its housing. A 24 inch wide and 1\/4 inch thick mounting plate is attached to the upper section of the mast which provides a strong and stable platform for the four metal halide fixtures. This base-plate mount also includes a rotating axis which allows the entire tower to be rotated in both the folded down position and upright position. A weight support arm provides a second point of contact. The trailer is the first point of contact and the pivoting weight arm is the second point of contact. This reduces the amount of counerweight necessary.\nThis light tower when lowered to 12 feet can withstand winds up to 125 mph.
