This light boom can be extended to 18' for maximum area coverage and collapsed to 7' for applications where a smaller footprint is required. The tower is constructed of square steel tubing with a base stage 5.98' in length and 5\" by 5\" by 3\/16\" thick, third stage 5.56' and 4\" by 4\" by 1\/8\" thick, second stage 5.27' and 3\" by 3\" by 1\/8\" thick and a top stage 4.98' and 2\" by 2\" by 1\/8\" thick. Each section has a 2' minimum overlap. The mast is elevated by pressing down on the end of base stage, elevating the mast into the upright position. A bolt-on shield protects the cable and pulley from being cut, intentionally damaged, or otherwise compromised. The winch itself is protected by a winch shield that can be padlocked into place when closed and held open in an upwards position during tower deployment. The winch handle must be removed before the winch shield can be locked into place. Both the cable\/pulley shield and the winch shield are installed using tamper-proof hardware for even less risk of them being removed.\nThe LM series of towers are powder coated with glossy blue finish for corrosion resistances and aesthetics. These light masts are typically mounted to trailers or other stable surfaces via a 15\" by 13\" by 1\/4\" thick mounting base-plate which has been drilled to accept six 9\/16\" anchor bolts. A 44\" wide and 2\" by 2\" by 1\/4\" thick mounting plate is attached to the upper section of the mast which provides a strong and stable platform for light fixtures and equipment.\nThe LM family of telescoping towers feature a proprietary mast guidance system, which provides increased stability during high winds. When lowered to 4.5', the mast can withstand winds up to 125 mph. When elevated to its full upright position, the mast can be rotated a full 360°. By loosening the T-Handle, operators can rotate the mast with ease in either direction. The mast can be positioned in one of four different directions, and locked back in place by re-tightening the T-handle. The mast itself spins freely, and can typically be rotated with a single hand.\nThis light tower weighs approximately 150 lb and can easily support and lift 125 lb fixtures. The entire tower assembly is shipped via common freight carrier and when shipped measures approximately 8' long, 4' wide, 5' tall and weighs approximately 375 lbs.
