Constructed of die cast aluminum and U.L. listed for marine use, this metal halide fixture is a versatile and ideal hazardous area lighting solution for areas where wet or corrosive environments are encountered. \nThe rugged HAL-TRN-400W-HPS-480V.1P high pressure sodium light fixture is weatherproof and suitable for use in wet, outdoor and marine environments, making it an ideal lighting solution for industrial applications, boat docks, building exteriors and outdoor work areas. The lamp`s housing is weatherproof and constructed of pressure cast copper free aluminum with an architectural bronze Polyester finish. The lens door is pressure-cast copper-free aluminum, and secured with 1\/4” diameter captive stainless steel slotted hex-head bolts. Compatible with 480V single phase, this unit features an integral multi- tap ballast.\n\nThe optical assembly includes thermal shock and impact resistant door glass with a pressure-cast copper-free aluminum door frame and heavy duty, high temperature silicone rubber seal. The lamp socket is a specification grade mogul base porcelain unit with heavy gauge brass, a nickel-plated, double lamp-grip screw shell and spring-loaded center contact. The reflectors are a double segment compound parabolic design with Alzak® finish for maximum efficiency. \nMounting choices include:\n\n(1) Yoke mount: zinc plated steel yoke with architectural bronze Polyester finish.\n(2) Pole top mount: built-in slip-fitter for internal wiring. The integral multi-tap ballast is protected within the weatherproof housing and has primary electrical taps for 120V, 208V, 240V, and 277V. This lamp is suitable for use in areas where flammable petrochemical vapors are sometimes present. \nThis 400 watt high pressure sodium light is highly durable, produces 50,000 lumens in a wide flood pattern, and has a maximum operating temperature of 325°C (T1 NEC Identification Number). All hardware on this unit is resistant to rain, snow, salt water and corrosive chemicals.
