These units are constructed of 50 feet of 10\/3 SOOW explosion proof cord rated at 30 amps of continuous service. The cord is chemical and abrasion resistant and comes with two 20 amp explosion proof pin\/sleeve receptacles installed on one end and a general area use 30 amp pin\/sleeve cord cap installed on the other end.\r\u003cbr\u003eThe two 20 amp pin\/sleeve power receptacles are constructed of non sparking aluminum and finished with an epoxy powder coating while the housing is constructed of triple coated malleable iron for durability and added corrosion resistance. The internal receptacle plug contacts are constructed of brass and designed to maintain constant pressure along their entire length for superior connectivity. The pin\/sleeve plug receptacles are deeply recessed to prevent accidental contacts and designed for pin\/sleeve plug insertion to provide secure connections. A neoprene seal fitted inside the connector receptacle seals against the plug when inserted to provide positive sealing against water ingress. A spring loaded receptacle door provides an automatic weather-tight seal when the plug is removed. In standard installations within the hazardous location area, threaded rigid pipe is brought to the outlet and the outlet is affixes to a mounting surface.\r\u003cbr\u003eThe receptacles on these units are of a pin\/sleeve design. In order for a secure and working connection to take place, the operator must insert the plug and twist until it engages into place. This ensures a safe seal is made before any sparks from electrical contact can take place. To ensure the highest safety, operators should make connections outside of the hazardous area.\r\u003cbr\u003eThese explosion proof extension cords are preconfigured in 125 V (left) or 250 V (right). Each unit is equipped with a 30 amp explosion proof pin\/sleeve cord cap and rated for 30 amps of continual service. The outlets are a pin\/sleeve design.
