This light tower features a rotating boom that allows for 360° of rotation, a cord reel mounting plate and a T-head component at the top of the pole. The heavy-duty mast comes with a 1-8 UNC nut base at the bottom of the pole for support. \n*PLEASE NOTE: ANY FREE SHIPPING OFFERS DO NOT APPLY TO LIGHT MASTS OR LIGHT TOWERS*\nThis telescoping four stage steel light mast from Larson Electronics is designed to allow operators to quickly and safely deploy lighting, cameras, and other electrical equipment in locations where this equipment must be elevated to heights up to 18` for effective coverage. This light boom can be extended to 18` for maximum area coverage and collapsed to 7` for applications where a smaller footprint is required. The tower is constructed of square steel tubing with a base stage 5.98` in length and 5\" by 5\" by 3\/16\" thick, third stage 5.56` and 4\" by 4\" by 1\/8\" thick, second stage 5.27` and 3\" by 3\" by 1\/8\" thick and a top stage 4.98` and 2\" by 2\" by 1\/8\" thick. Each section has a 2` minimum overlap. The mast is elevated by pressing down on the end of base stage, elevating the mast into the upright position. The mast is extended to its full height using an included 1,000 lbs hand winch with 3\/16\" galvanized cable.\nThe LM series of towers are powder coated with glossy blue finish for corrosion resistances and aesthetics or galvanized for superior corrosion resistance. A 21.4\" x 5.98\" x 18.1\" T-head mounting plate is attached to the upper section of the mast which provides a strong and stable platform for light fixtures and equipment. The LM-18-7-4S-FM-MODIDC-M2 also features a cord reel mounting plate. The mounting plate measures 12\" x 9\" and is located at the base stage of the light mast above the winch. This component is also powder coated in glossy blue to match the mast.\nThe LM family of telescoping towers feature a proprietary mast guidance system, which provides increased stability during high winds. When lowered to 4.5`, the mast can withstand winds up to 125 mph. When elevated to its full upright position, the mast can be rotated a full 360°. By loosening the T-Handle, operators can rotate the mast with ease in either direction. The mast can be positioned in one of four different directions, and locked back in place by re-tightening the T-handle. The mast itself spins freely, and can typically be rotated with a single hand.\nThis light tower weighs approximately 150 lbs and can easily support and lift 125 lbs fixtures. The entire tower assembly is shipped via common freight carrier and when shipped measures approximately 8` long, 4` wide, 5` tall and weighs approximately 375 lbs.
