The lamp housing is weatherproof and constructed of die cast aluminum featuring a hinged, removable front-access door with two captive closure screws for easy servicing. The optical assembly includes a precision-formed aluminum reflector and a thermal shock, impact-resistant lens. This metal halide light fixture also features continuous silicon gasketing, corrosion resistant external hardware and a trunnion mounting bracket with stainless steel hardware for mounting. The remote ballast has a NEMA 3R enclosure and must be mounted in a location outside the hazardous area. The HAL-PRM-400W-MH-REM has a 20` SOOW cord between the ballast and the light. \n*Please note that the remote ballast must be mounted OUTSIDE of the hazardous area.*\nThe aluminum reflector has a chemically bonded, lightweight, non-breakable ALGLAS® finish on both the inside and outside surfaces providing corrosion resistance, durability and ease of cleaning. The trunnion bracket has a clearance hole for a 3\/4-inch bolt used for attachment for such mountings. The 1\/2-inch holes on either side permit additional anchoring, where required. Tighten side trunnion bolts to 18 - 22 foot pounds. The remote ballast with NEMA 3R enclosure must be mounted outside of the hazardous area and there is 20` of SOOW cable between the ballast and light.\nAIMING: Slightly loosen bolts \"A\" (two on trunnion) and tilt luminaire to desired position and retighten bolts.\nLAMPS: Use only lamps specified on nameplate. Observe lamp manufacturer’s recommendations and restrictions on lamp operation, particularly ballast type, burning position, etc.\nLamp Tightness: Mogul Base Lamp: The lamp should be securely inserted to the NEMA-EEI specified torque of 35 inch-pounds which is best achieved by very firmly tightening to insure application of sufficient torque. Tightening must be sufficient to fully depress and load the center contact of the socket.\nWIRING: Make all electrical connections in accordance with the National Electrical Code and any applicable local code requirements. Verify that supply voltage is correct by comparing it to nameplate. Three-conductor No. 14 cable (with 90° C minimum insulation) is recommended for making electrical connections to the P-154. Wiring is accomplished through the wiring box provided on the fixture. The box is provided with a size 3\/4\" NPT threaded conduit opening. Wiring methods must comply with NFPA 70 (The National Electrical Code), Article 501 for Class I, Division 2 Hazardous (Classified) Locations. To get inside the unit, open the door, loosen the (2) screws holding the reflector and remove the reflector.
