In the case of power outages or in any situation where power is interrupted, this unit automatically switches to a battery backup which will power the unit for 90+ minutes or until power is restored. Once power is restored, a built in charger will return the unit to a fully charged state within acceptable UL time limits.\nThis hazardous area location emergency lighting fixture carries an integral maintenance-free, sealed, high temperature Nickel-Cadmium battery backup power supply. When external power is cut due to outages or accidents this lamp automatically switches to its battery backup which will power the LED bulbs for 90+ minutes. The battery is protected from deep discharge by solid state circuitry which senses low voltage and turns off the unit before battery damage can occur. \nThis emergency light is multi-voltage capable and can operate with voltages ranging from 120V to 277V 60HZ. This unit`s housing is constructed of die-cast aluminum and fitted with an impact resistant polycarbonate lens. Mounting brackets and all hardware are stainless steel. The HAL-EMG-5W-2L-LED can withstand temperature variances ranging from 0°C to +50°C and its low maintenance design offers up to ten years of operational life. \nAn integrated pilot light indicates the presence of AC current and a test switch allows easy confirmation of proper emergency operation. The HAL-EMG-5W-2L-LED automatically performs one 5-minute monthly. Every 6 months the fixture will perform two 30-minute discharge tests, 24 hours apart.
